Affiliate Disclosure
Plain English, no legalese. This page covers how affiliate links work across all of Pitmaster Tools — the guides, the calculators, and the Best Smoke Days forecast.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, Pitmaster Tools earns from qualifying purchases. Some of the product links on this site — especially in our guides — point to products on Amazon. If you click one and end up buying something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra; the price is the same whether you use our link or not.
We also expect to add direct-to-manufacturer affiliate links over time. The same rules below apply to all of them.
How we label affiliate links
- Every page that carries affiliate links shows a visible notice near the top of the article, in line with the FTC Endorsement Guides.
- Each individual product recommendation has its own disclosure right next to it.
- Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"so search engines and your browser both know they're sponsored.
What money never changes
- Recommendations come first. We recommend gear we'd actually tell a friend to buy. A bigger commission somewhere else doesn't bump a worse product up the page.
- Our tools stay neutral. Calculator results and the 0–100 smoke scores are computed from data and formulas only. No advertiser or affiliate program influences the math.
- We don't sell your data. An affiliate click sends you to the merchant; it doesn't hand them your inputs.
